Sometimes the pieces really seem to come together. A year ago, I never would have guessed that I would start a company in Pakistan. With a Pakistani woman. This was quite an unlikely thing to happen, because a year ago I had never worked with a Pakistani, nor had I ever been part of opening a company abroad. So I tend to think that a miracle happened: I met Anam online. We both seemed to have a common dream, and when two people with a shared vision meet, things start to happen.
Before starting this company, Anam had already worked for me for several months through one of my other companies. We worked as a great team and decided to take our collaboration to another level. This is why Pakimomo Ltd. was founded. We both thought that since we will work together for a long time, starting a virtual assistant service would make a lot of sense.
At this point we had one problem. We had never met in real life, and I don't recommend starting a company with a person you have never met. We needed to fix this. So, we booked flights, and a week ago, Anam and I met in person in Dubai.

Although our cultures are quite different, we seemed to share many common things: the same sense of humor, a passion to succeed, and curiosity towards life and different cultures. I still sometimes think about how wonderful it is that we have come so far, because there were many obstacles we had to overcome. I am happy that we both believed in this project as much as we did, and that we were willing to take so many risks and make sacrifices.
I always strive to look to the future instead of the past. I see many opportunities in Pakistan at the moment. I have worked with two Pakistani people, and they are hard working, smart, and have a good working ethic. I believe that Pakimomo will succeed and that Anam is the right person to run the company in Pakistan. I am truly happy and excited about the possibilities this will bring to Pakimomo clients and both of us as human beings.
